Reaching a dedicated community of performing arts and classical music supporters in Oklahoma
KUCO Radio is a non-commercial, non-profit radio station licensed by the Federal Communications Commission to the University of Central Oklahoma. While the FCC prohibits non-commercial stations from broadcasting advertisements, it allows KUCO to air underwriting acknowledgments recognizing businesses and organizations for their donations to the station.
Classical KUCO underwriting acknowledgments include the donor’s name and contact information, such as a website address, phone number, and physical location.
Many businesses and organizations utilize Classical KUCO underwriting acknowledgments to connect with KUCO’s unique community of arts patrons and supporters. KUCO listeners are dedicated supporters of the arts and actively contribute their time, skills, and resources to positively impact the health and well-being of our local communities.
On-Air Acknowledgments
Classical KUCO underwriting acknowledgments are 20 to 25 seconds long, including the prelude, “Support for KUCO comes from…” They are professionally voiced and produced by the station. Underwriting acknowledgments are delivered in a credible and dignified manner within an uncluttered setting, recognizing the generosity of businesses and organizations that support KUCO and the arts in Oklahoma.
Example: “Support for Classical KUCO comes from [Business Name], committed to performing arts and classical music in Oklahoma. More information is available at [Business Website] or by calling [Phone Number].”
