KUCO Radio is a non-commerical, non-profit radio station licensed by the Federal Communications Commission to the University of Central Oklahoma. While the FCC prohibits non-commercial stations from broadcasting advertisements, it allows KUCO to broadcast underwriting announcements – aired acknowledgements of Businesses and Organizations in recognition of donations made to the station.
Classical KUCO underwriting announcements include the name of the donor, and a value-neutral non-promotional description of products, services, or events and a website location or physical location for our listeners to visit.
Many business and organization utilize Classical KUCO underwriting announcements to connect to our remarkable listening community who cannot be reached through other media. KUCO listeners are patrons and supporters for the arts, they also volunteer their time, skills, and resources to positively impact the health and well-being of their communities.
On-Air Acknowledgments
Classical KUCO underwriting announcements are 20 to 25 seconds in length which includes the prelude, “Support for KUCO comes from…” and are voiced and produced by the station. Your underwriting announcements will be delivered in a credible and dignified manner within an uncluttered setting to demonstrate your support for the arts in Oklahoma and to help increase your message effectiveness.
